Pace invites members to use chat to connect and support each other in between sessions. Often, sharing images, news articles, and/or videos is part of continuing the in-session conversation throughout the week. We define content and media as images, videos, sound clips, and/or news articles.
Violation of this policy
Under this policy, Pace prohibits members from sharing violent, hateful, or adult content. This includes in chat, but also as profile pictures.
- Violent media: any images that depict violence, death, or serious physical injury in graphic detail. In addition, any media that depicts any type of sexual violence, real or simulated (e.g., rape) is also prohibited.
- Adult content: any pornographic content or media intended to be used in a sexual manner. This includes, but is not limited to full or partial nudity, simulated sexual acts, and sexual acts or intercourse, including anime, hentai, and/or depiction of animals.
- Gore: any extremely graphic content. This includes content related to death, physical harm, and/or violence, shared for sadistic purposes.
- Hateful content: any symbols, images, or logos intended to target members based on their race, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, gender/gender identity, ethnicity, or disability. This includes, but is not limited to symbols associated with hate groups (e.g., swastikas)and altered images to include hateful content of other members.
Reporting a violation of this policy
Everyone can report a violation of this policy. It’s important to note that chat is not monitored by the Care Team or your facilitator. However, if facilitators become aware of a violation of this policy, they’re required to inform the Care Team. With that being said, Pace doesn’t censor members but does review every violation of this policy individually.

Consequences
We consider multiple factors when reviewing violations of this policy, including severity and history.
- The first time a member violates this policy:
- Member will receive clear feedback from the group’s facilitator;
- The Care Safety Team and the facilitator will remain in contact to understand if the feedback/guidance was taken into consideration.
- Depending on the severity of the situation (e.g., type of content), the content may be deleted.
- The second time a member violates this policy:
- Membership will be suspended without issuing a refund.
